You don’t need to have it all figured out before you begin.

I’m Kelly Corlazzoli, and I created Kokua Counselling to offer a compassionate and grounded space for youth, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, stress, overwhelm, change, or uncertainty.

My path to counselling grew naturally from my work as a Registered Nurse, a profession I continue to practise today. Through diverse hospital and community roles, I have been continually drawn to the relational side of care: listening to people’s stories, understanding what matters to them, and being alongside them through vulnerability, uncertainty, and change.

I hold a Master of Nursing and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, bringing both perspectives into the way I understand and support the whole person.

How I Work

I believe therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all.

My approach is relational, person-centred, and collaborative. Rather than coming to counselling with a predetermined path for you, I work alongside you to make sense of what you’re experiencing, explore what you need, and discover what feels meaningful and supportive.

My practice may draw from:
IFS • CBT • DBT • Somatic Therapy • Relational Life Therapy
Polyvagal-Informed Practice • Mindfulness • Harm Reduction

My additional training in mindfulness, meditation, and yoga also informs my interest in the connection between mind and body.

The Spirit of Kokua

As a Métis counsellor, I draw on values of community, relationality, and shared humanity. These values connect naturally with the spirit of kōkua: helping, supporting, and caring for one another.

My hope is to offer a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as we explore what matters to you and what moving forward might look like.

My Moto

You don't need to have it all figured out before you begin.
